The Merseyside derby comes from Anfield on Sunday afternoon as Liverpool host Everton in the Premier League. This is always one of the biggest games that the top flight has to offer and it should be a cracker.

The Toffees are in the better league position at the moment as they sit in sixth, one place and five points ahead of the Reds, so a win here would guarantee David Moyes’ men sixth spot and would keep their European hopes alive.

Liverpool do have the better of this fixture at Anfield though as Everton haven’t won on this ground since 1999, so the home side are sure to be confident of taking the spoils once more.

Brendan Rodgers’ team are leading the way in the betting markets for this one as well and you can back them at 21/20 with William Hill to come out on top.

They come into this clash on the back of a stunning 6-0 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park, which showed they can score goals without the suspended Luis Suarez.

With Anfield rocking and Liverpool clearly in decent form, bets are sure to be popular on a home win.

As for Everton, they haven’t won on the road in the Premier League since January and their away form seems to be what has cost them a Champions League place this campaign.

They sit five points behind Arsenal in fourth, so need to win their remaining matches and hope that the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur slip-up in the closing stages of the season.

On their day, the Toffees are capable of beating anyone in this league and the bookmakers look to have some decent odds on an away win as it can be backed at 14/5 with BetVictor.

Moyes will demand his squad to fight until the end of the season of course and with Everton having the chance to guarantee they finish above their rivals, they are sure to go all out for the win this weekend.

The half-time/full-time market could be a good one to bet on for this Merseyside derby and Liverpool winning at both stages can be backed at 5/2 with Betway.

Then, Everton are at 6/1 with Ladbrokes to lead the way at the break and then by the time the final whistle is blown.

We are heading into the correct score market for this one though and with the football Liverpool played against Newcastle and the fact they have such a good record in this fixture, we are backing them for the win.

A 3-1 victory for the Reds looks the best value at the moment as it is being offered at 16/1 with Coral.

As ever, this Merseyside derby should be a cracker.
