All eyes will turn to the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup this week and Tuesday evening sees Premier League giants Arsenal make the tough trip to Valley Parade to take on Bradford City.
The compeition has provided so much drama, excitement and entertainment this season – so this 90 minutes of action is not to be missed.
Bradford have been the surprise package this year as they currently play in League Two, so will be delighted to have reached the final eight.
Now they are here though, the Yorkshire side will be hopeful of achieving something really special and causing one of the biggest cup upsets that the tournament has seen. They did beat Wigan Athletic on penalties in the previous round, but know just how strong Arsenal are.
Phil Parkinson will send his men out to enjoy the occasion and see if they can rustle a few feathers in the Arsenal camp. If you fancy a bet on a win for Bradford, you can back them at 8/1 with BetVictor.
They do come into this on the back of two league wins as well, so confidence in the camp is sure to be high.
As for Arsenal, they know that this is a potential banana skin, but if they put in a professional performance, then they should sail safely through to the semi-finals.
Arsene Wenger is likely to use a number of fringe players in this one and will be confident that they have enough talent to come out on top at Valley Parade. You can back a win for the Gunners at 2/5 with BetVictor.
In the previous round, Wenger’s side of course beat Reading 7-5 after extra-time in one of the most dramatic matches that the league cup has ever seen. The Frenchman is sure to be after a solid defensive performance this time out.
Bets on the first goal-scorer could give you some great value in this one and if he starts, Oliver Giroud looks like being the most likely player to break the deadlock as he is at 4/1 with Betfred.
If Bradford are to score first, then leading scorer Nahki Wells looks to be the favourite at 10/1 with Coral.
For betting in this match though, we like the look of heading into the correct score market. We think Bradford will play their part, but in the end Arsenal will have far too much for them on the night and end up taking the match 4-1. The odds of this happening are 18/1 with Stan James.
It is certainly an eagerly anticipated encounter between these two clubs that are three divisions apart at the moment.
